External Forces against Movable Walls

movable walls

You have to always check if there are external forces against the movable wall when closed. e.g.:

-         Striking forces caused by children bumping against movable walls in schools and day nurseries

-         Air condition pressure when the supply air duct is in another space than the return air ducts.

All external forces may damage seals of movable walls and cause sound leaks. In the worst cases there may be operation problems of pass door panels.

If

-         The above external forces exist

-         The floor material has little friction (e.g. other material than wall-to-wall carpet)

The following accessories are recommended to make the movable wall to stay in its place:

-         Barrel bolt in lower frame profile corner + socket in the floor

-         Peg in bottom seal profile + socket in floor

-         Spindle mechanism for retractable top and bottom seals
